MinnesotaCare is a health care program for Minnesotans with low incomes. As of July 2025, MinnesotaCare offers free or lower cost health insurance to children in Minnesota (ages 18 and under), regardless of immigration status as long as they meet the income limits.

You can also get free one-on-one help registering from navigators in your language. Find a navigator at mnsure.org/free-help or by calling 651-539-2099 or 855-366-7873 for help in your language.

You also have the right to receive care in your own language. Ask for an interpreter if needed. No matter your cultural background or legal status, you deserve the right to healthcare that is safe, culturally responsive, and non-discriminatory. 

If you think you’re not receiving the care you deserve, you have the right to speak up. If you believe you have faced discrimination while seeking care, you can file a report through the Minnesota Department of Human Services or the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
